Dark brick, tall glass windows, and a flat roof give this two-story lot the look of a compact urban storefront. The raised stone entry, narrow landscaping, and corner placement make it feel more commercial than cozy, which suits a home business nicely. Its restrained exterior leaves most of the personality to the oversized windows and whatever merchandise eventually appears behind them.

The angled view shows how strongly the tall windows and clean rectangular shape define the building. Sidewalks border two sides of the lot while the rooftop provides additional outdoor space above the compact 2×2 footprint. Old Main could house a small shop, studio, or service business without giving its owner an exhausting commute across town.

The first floor provides a broad black-tiled business space with a register counter, changing booths, bathroom facilities, and plenty of open room for displays or service areas. The basic setup establishes the essentials without deciding exactly what belongs on the sales floor, leaving players free to create anything from a clothing shop to a more unconventional family enterprise.

Upstairs, the live-work arrangement continues with one bedroom, another bathroom, and a large amount of open floor space surrounding the central staircase. The unfinished rooms can remain sparse and practical for a busy proprietor or become a more comfortable apartment above the business. Large windows keep the interior from feeling boxed in despite the building’s compact urban footprint.

Old Main brings home and business under one roof, giving a hardworking Sim a very short commute and absolutely no believable excuse for arriving late.
