Inspired by the Dutch Rabbit, this patterned cat borrows its black and white markings from one of the oldest recognizable rabbit breeds. Spotted rabbits appeared in records as early as the fifteenth century, and English breeders refined the Dutch in the 1800s. The result is a charming feline version of a popular fancy rabbit.
