Front exterior view of Barn Conversion, a red barn-style home converted into a residential property with dark roofing, tall front windows, brick driveway, flowerbeds, and a small pond nearby.
Barn Conversion 1: Front Exterior

Once a humble barn and now clearly enjoying its second act, this converted home keeps its red siding, tall roofline, dormer windows, and brick chimney while trading livestock for living space. The front exterior still carries plenty of country character, but the tall windows, neat flowerbeds, and broad brick driveway make it feel more like a warm rural retreat than an actual working farm.

From the rear, the barn shape becomes even clearer, with a long roofline, raised dormers, and a quiet pond tucked into the surrounding yard. The open landscape gives the lot a relaxed rural feeling, leaving plenty of room for gardens, outdoor seating, or Sims who insist they moved here for “the simple life” despite immediately buying expensive furniture.

Inside, the first floor opens into a broad living area with wood flooring, a central staircase, kitchen space, and a fireplace overlooking the back of the property. The layout keeps the converted-barn feeling intact by leaving the main rooms generous and open, while still providing enough structure for everyday family living.

Upstairs, the second floor continues the roomy converted-loft atmosphere with open wood-floored spaces, dormer window areas, and partially divided rooms tucked beneath the roofline. With two bedrooms and three bathrooms overall, the home has more comfort than its barn origins would suggest, though it still knows how to wear rustic charm without over-polishing it.

A cozy country conversion for Sims who want pond views, open rooms, and the satisfaction of living somewhere that probably used to smell much worse.

Part of the Barn Conversion Houses Set

The Barn Conversion Set gathers a collection of country-inspired Sims 2 homes that turn old barn shapes into comfortable residential lots with plenty of charm, practical layouts, and just enough rustic character to keep things interesting. Across the set, you’ll find stone, clapboard, and brightly painted exteriors, roomy interiors, fireplaces, porches, garages, fenced gardens, wide windows, and the occasional pond or tree swing for added countryside atmosphere. Each house keeps the barn conversion theme while offering its own personality, from cozy cottage-style living to larger family-ready layouts.

Basically, it is all the charm of moving into a barn, with far fewer hay allergies and a much better chance of indoor plumbing.
