Greystoke Castle rises high above the surrounding forest like some forgotten aristocratic fortress reclaimed from another century. Built into the cliffs with towering stone wings, rooftop terraces, stained glass windows, and enough staircases to make delivery Sims question their career choices, this sprawling estate blends gothic grandeur with eccentric luxury. Originally created as a lived-in family residence, the castle still retains many of its original custom paintings, created specifically for this lot and preserved here as part of its history.

The grand entry hall was designed as the ceremonial heart of the estate. Red carpet walkways, towering arches, stained glass accents, and elaborate decorative pieces create a space that feels more suited for royal gatherings than ordinary Sim life. Every corner of the hall was built to emphasize scale, symmetry, and spectacle.

Beyond the main hall, Greystoke opens into a series of richly decorated gathering spaces including a formal dining chamber, hedge garden courtyard, and private sitting rooms tucked into the outer wings of the castle. The layout intentionally balances large public spaces with smaller intimate rooms, giving the estate a more believable lived-in atmosphere despite its dramatic scale.

The lower level kitchen was designed to support large gatherings while still feeling connected to the surrounding halls and dining spaces. Nearby, one of the castle’s ornate first-floor bathrooms features gothic detailing, stained glass windows, and a gold-trimmed clawfoot tub that looks far too expensive for any Sim to responsibly maintain.

The second floor serves as the primary residential level of the estate, housing two large master suites along with a separate twin bedroom tucked beside its own detached bath chamber. Each tower room was given its own personality through color, furnishings, and layout while still maintaining the castle’s overall gothic aesthetic.

One of the more unusual architectural features of Greystoke is the exterior upper terrace connecting portions of the second floor. Stone balconies, elevated stairways, and outdoor corridors give parts of the estate an almost monastery-like feel while also opening the upper levels to the surrounding forest views.

The third floor shifts away from formal living spaces and into quieter personal rooms, including a private library tower and an expansive nursery suite large enough to support the next generation of Greystoke residents. Though the castle is massive, these upper floors help give the estate a surprisingly personal side.

The upper tower rooms continue Greystoke’s blend of luxury and eccentricity. One tower functions as a richly furnished private study lined with bookshelves, antique furnishings, and quiet reading spaces, while the opposing suite serves as an elegant upper bedroom chamber complete with dramatic bathroom detailing and elevated tower access.

High above the forest canopy, Greystoke’s rooftop terraces and tower balconies offer panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. Hot tubs, observatories, and elevated walkways complete the illusion that this estate exists entirely separate from the modern world below.
Warning: Greystoke Castle may cause sudden urges to wear velvet robes, speak dramatically from balconies, and appoint yourself ruler of nearby woodland creatures.
